Most of you are aware that too much bleach, extra hot hair tools and the daily elements can cause hair damage. These exposures can lead to the hair cuticle being permanently cracked, open or chipped. This causes the damage that leads to frizz, dullness and the potential for more internal damage to the hair shaft.

Once the cuticle layer is open, it allows for hair to become more dry, brittle and fragile as the natural moisture and melanin is able to escape and be affected by outside elements it is not normally exposed to.
The Fix? Keratin!
Pre-Treatment
The pre-treatment step removes surface buildup and prepares the cuticle, lifting its overlapping layers to allow the treatment to penetrate the hair.
Application
During application, the keratin treatment penetrates into the hair’s cuticle. Hydrolyzed keratin strengthens keratin bonds from within, helps repair damage, and smoothes the hair shaft.
Nourishing & Strengthening
Keratin and additional conditioning agents help nourish and strengthen the hair, while restoring smoothness and shine.
Hair Shape is Adjusted with Heat
The hair shape is further adjusted with the assistance of heat—first with a blow-dryer and finally with a flat iron. This final step helps seal in the treatment to create a humidity-resistant finish.
By opening the cuticle when hair is clarified, any unhealthy elements are released (chlorine, product build up, pollution, etc.) The open cuticle then allows in the good stuff! Keratin is a protein that your hair, nails and skin are naturally composed of. Keratin is also a natural protector of your hair.
By adding Keratin inside with a keratin treatment, you are giving moisture and nutrients to your hair. The outside then becomes repaired and sealed to lock the good stuff in and close the cuticle to prevent frizz and add shine. The more keratin in a treatment the longer the results.
